So it's no wonder that Eddie and Patsy can't help but have a dig at the reality TV stars of today, that have become millionaires and celebrities for just being them.
In the upcoming Christmas episode of Absolutely Fabulous, Eddie, played by Jennifer Saunders, sits at her kitchen table with daughter Saffy, played by Julia Sawalha, Patsy, played by Joanna Lumley, and Saffy's father Justin, played by Christopher Malcolm.

Saffy responds that she doesn't know, prompting her mother to get her to ask her who they are.
Baffled: Eddie and her daughter Saffy, played by Julia Sawalha, stare in amazement at the mags as Saffy asks her if she knows who these people are...
... to which Eddie responds in bafflement as she throws her hands in the air
'Look - there's a new disease called the Kardashians! It's just sort of spread....'
'They're spreading like herpes', says Patsy as she turns her nose up in disgust
'They're multiplying like head lice': Patsy sneers at the reality TV stars
Eddie then points to one of the sisters and says: 'Look at this fat one at the end, very soon she will split like an amoeba and become two Kardashians.'

Absolutely Fabulous is returning to BBC One for three specials, the first of which airs on Christmas Day.
