Big Shocker– Did Kimmy Bought Her Own Ring?

We’ve been in this business long enough to know that Kim Kardashian would do ANYTHING to stay in the limelight. And coming up with an ENGAGEMENT . . . just as her celebrity was starting to FADE . . . is the kind of ISH we would expect from her.
In 2009, MediaTakeOut.com was one of the FEW places in the world showing photos of Kim wearing an “engagement” ring (See story here). At the time, Kim and her media folks were telling EVERYONE WHO WOULD LISTEN that Reggie had proposed to her.

The truth was that Kim BOUGHT her own engagement ring (or rather, was GIVEN it by a Los Angeles jeweler in exchange for some promotional work) – and she was trying to PRESSURE Reggie to marry her.
Well it appears that Kim may be doing the SAME THING with her new BF Kris Humphries. Cause that “new” ring she’s rockin . . . looks a whole lot like the “old” one she was wearing in ’09!!!
From her People magazine exclusive interview
Kim Kardashian had long dreamed of the perfect man—and the perfect ring. “In high school I went to Macy’s and bought this fake ring, my ‘perfect’ ring, and this is almost the exact same,” she says, staring down at the 20-plus-carat gem Humphries designed with jeweler Lorraine Schwartz…
Wanting something distinctly her own (“Khloé’s is a radiant cut,” she says of her sister’s ring), the reality star loves the classic design. Humphries had simpler requirements: “I just knew I wanted it to be big!” And he got more than big, as Kim gushed, “It’s the most beautiful thing I have ever seen,” says Kardashian of the ring. “It’s perfect.” The 16.5-carat emerald cut center stone is flanked by a pair of 2-carat trapezoids, for a total weight of 20.5 carats! Humphries even managed to work out the design without Kim knowing. Kardashian explains, “[Lorraine] always listened to what I would want and the shapes I love. I had said I loved an emerald cut and they were scheming and plotting for a while.”
I have to wonder at this point when the media will call bullshit on this family? Does People magazine not have any integrity? It’s obvious she mentioned having a “fake ring” so when the pics came out of her wearing her engagement ring she could claim she was just wearing her” fake dream ring” back then. Kris Humphries makes $3 million a year BEFORE taxes which means he’s likely bringing home around 1.5 million at most. Why would he buy a 2 million dollar ring?
Also, how convenient that Kris happens to “design” a ring supposedly without her knowledge that looks magically just like her dream ring she was wearing 2 years ago? Why go through the ruse of claiming Kris meticulously designed a ring from scratch that happens to look like a ring you already wore?
