The reality TV world was shaken yesterday with rumours that Khloe Kardashian's show Khloe & Lamar had been cancelled.
And while hours later the 27-year-old confirmed that her show would be put on the back burner, she insisted that it wasn't going to be permanent.
The youngest Kardashian sister told Entertainment Tonight that she and husband Lamar Odom are taking a much needed break, but that they would merely be taking a hiatus from the series.

'Our show is not cancelled,' she said during an interview on Entertainment Tonight.
'Lamar and I have chosen to take a break this summer. We've been on a whirlwind and doing back to back shows, so we just want to take a little time off for Lamar to be with family... kids, basketball, Olympics, you never know. So, we have a lot on our plate right now.'
Lamar added that the couple would go back on air when they are ready.

'We just want to be happy,' he said. 'We’ll take our time and we’ll get back to it when it’s time.'
The confirmation came before the couple joined their famous clan to promote the new series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians at the E! Upfront event in New York last night.
After the event, Khloe and Lamar arrived back at the Gansvoort Hotel looking exhausted.
Khloe propped herself up against her towering beau as they arrived arm-in-arm.
While she looked glamorous in her black ensemble, the brunette star appeared burnt out.

Earlier in the day, she bore the brunt of rumours, following reports of their departure from the show.
It was also reported that 'momager' Kris Jenner was less than pleased that Khloe had decided to put the show on hold and that the couple and Kris were said to be at 'odds'.
According to Radaronline.com, the mother-of-six had been trying to convince Khloe that she and Lamar needed to stay on air.

'The idea to pull the plug on the show was all Lamar's,' a source told the website.
'He felt that it was becoming a distraction and Khloé fully supported her husband.
'Lamar just isn't in a good place right now, he is dealing with his ailing father and trying to get back into shape so he can sign with an NBA team.
At odds? Kris is reportedly less than pleased that her daughter and Lamar are putting their reality TV show on temporary hold
'Kris doesn't think it was necessary for them to not do another season of the show though and told them that Ryan Seacrest's production team would work with Khloé and Lamar to film less.
'Kris told Khloé that viewers could be inspired by what they are going through right now because the unemployment rate is so high.
'However, Khloé isn't budging and told her mom there will be no show, period. This is the problem when a mother makes money off of her kids, it could cloud her judgement.
Money spinners: Kris makes 10 percent off all of her daughter's business ventures
The insider hinted that the reason why Kris was desperately trying to change their mind was all to do with money.
'Kris gets a 10 percent commission on all of her children and Lamar's deals that she has brokered,' the insider added.
'Kris is now losing money because of Khloé and Lamar's decision to not do another season.'
Reports that the married couple were pulling plug on their show, which currently airs on E!, came earlier in day.
It was also reported that the pair would be significantly limiting their time on the main family programme Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

According to the TMZ.com, Lamar is also keen to revive his playing career, after he was put on the Dallas Mavericks 'inactive list' following a less than successful season.
A source told RadarOnline.com that Lamar thought the show was not helping his sports career.
'Lamar felt that being on the show hurt his prospects of being signed with another NBA team because he was so unhappy on recent episodes of the show when he was traded to Dallas,' the source said.
'This season on Khloé and Lamar's reality show viewers have watched Lamar sulk and complain about how the Los Angeles Lakers traded him and his inability to find his groove with his new teammates.'
Lamar released a statement earlier this month when the news of his Dallas departure was announced, which read: 'The Mavericks and I have mutually agreed that it's in the best interest of both parties for me to step away from the team.

The 32-year-old sportsman, who now lives in Los Angeles full-time with Khloe, has hired a trainer in a bid to improve his skills on the court.
It is believed he is hoping to be traded from the Mavericks once the basketball season draws to a close.
Khloe & Lamar, which airs in America on Sunday nights, has proved a more than successful spin-off of the main Kardashian vehicle.
Down time: Lamar has been spending time with his wife and her famous family in New York following the news he was leaving the Dallas Mavericks
It followed in the footsteps of the family's other spin-offs, including Kourtney & Kim Take New York, and Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami, as well as Kim's Fairytale Wedding - which followed the most famous Kardashian as she prepared to wed her now estranged husband Kris Humphries.
It was reported earlier this month that the Kardashian family had signed a $40 million three-year contract with E!, with sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe, as well as parents Kris and Bruce Jenner, all earning equal pay.
The seventh season begins airing in the States on May 20.
